Special Olympics is proud to announce that it has chosen Lincoln, Nebraska as its site for the 2010 USA National Games. This will be the largest event ever held in the state of Nebraska, and one of the biggest sporting events in the United States. The Games will take place July 18-23, 2010 with competitions and events taking place throughout Lincoln.
Of course, the 2010 USA National Games would not be possible without the help of many dedicated volunteers—and the event will require 8,000 of them to be successful! There is something for everyone and no shortage of diverse ways to get involved. Volunteer positions include: security, event logisitics, welcome committee, delegations services, receptions, ceremonies, information services, technology, awards, media services, food services, and much more!
Whether you join us for one day or the entire duration of the games, your participation is vital to our success and your life will be changed forever committing your time to Special Olympics. You must attend pre-game training sessions to be eligible to volunteer during the games.
The 2010 USA National Games will change Nebraska forever and will leave a lasting legacy of education, awareness, and inclusion. The event will be seen nationwide, so join in the efforts to make the 2010 USA National Games something the world will remember.
